UAS COELUM DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

The Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation (CIAC, according to its Spanish acronym) develops high impact projects for the national defense sector which are useful in operations for the public benefit, particularly related to the design and manufacture of manned and unmanned aircraft. Within the framework of the development of these types of projects, there has been a growing interest in Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) use by different industrial and commercial sectors, especially by the military forces in order to perform missions that represent a high risk for the crews.
The above reasons indicate that in Colombia there is an opportunity for the development of UAVs that offer this technology to the market at low costs, avoiding additional expenses for acquisitions from abroad. For the design and manufacture of the prototypes, we have the experience of qualified national engineers, using aeronautical design tools and software, and their manufacture is carried out under high quality standards that ensure their correct operation. Finally, the prototypes are validated through ground and flight tests to corroborate the scope of the expected performance characteristics.
The design, development, and manufacturing capabilities of these type of products are generated and strengthened by CIAC S.A. in order to become, in the medium term, the pioneer Colombian company in the sale of nationally manufactured UAVs and provision of comprehensive maintenance, training, and repair services for this equipment, thus also strengthening the Colombian aeronautical industry.
